To get some insights into JUAMI schools please watch our video. You are also encouraged to request to join the JUAMIexchange Google group to be able to receive notifications about the program.

Taking place over a two-week period in Nairobi, the program will include tutorial level and research level talks by renowned international speakers on experimental materials science, electrochemistry and sustainable energy, clean water, and solar fuel production. It will also involve team-based hands-on practical tasks and will include training in crafting and writing competitive collaborative project proposals.

We believe that these schools provide a unique experience and opportunity to experience scientific research across cultures and we strongly encourage you to apply.

Program Features

JUAMI schools feature tutorials on cutting-edge energy materials topics, hands-on experiments and learning activities, and research seminars by top materials scientists. By providing full financial support for students to participate in the entire two-week program, JUAMI fellows are able to completely immerse themselves in the experience, see problems from different perspectives, gain new skills and inspiration for tackling research questions, and develop lasting relationships.
